Longines unveils latest flagship in Sydney’s CBD

Luxury shopping has received another prestigious flagship. Longines has previewed their latest opening in the heart of Sydney's CBD within the Westfield Sydney shopping precinct. The store is the latest addition amongst five other boutiques which have opened in Australia. Visions of timelessness and innovation coalesce in this newest, multidimensional arcade, offering the Swiss hourglass brand's multi-modal inventions in a plush, welcoming space.

From its inception in the 1832, the Longines brand has been based out of St. Imier, Switzerland. Longines has honed their legacy of watchmaking with precision and tact. With a core focus on elegance through refined technique, Longines is heralding a brand new retail chapter in Australia.

The CEO of Longines, Matthias Breschan says in a statement, "It is with great excitement that we continue to develop our retail presence in Australia. Our new Sydney flagship boutique illustrates our pursuit of progressiveness and transformation, all the while retaining an enduringly elegant and timeless essence. We are proud to offer our Australian customers as well as our international customers passing through Sydney, the opportunity to discover the unique world of Longines, the brands rich heritage and its vast range of timepieces, in a tailor-made space staffed by qualified advisers. We place great importance on creating a unique environment to ensure that each visit is a special and unforgettable experience.”

Where can I visit the new flagship?

The new flagship can be found just under Sydney Tower Eye on Market street. The 138-square metre space is located within the prestigious Westfield Sydney, offering a dual entrance snaking along both sides of the shopping precinct. Enter to a multi-dimensional facade with metal awning, where the world of Longines awaits. The display also hails inspiration from the brand's historical affiliation with aviation and equestrian pursuit. Touchpoints from the entrance all point to Longines' 192-year history, brought to life with the curvature of a plane wing meted against the striped brushed metals of the architectural design.

Visitors can enter to a centre-pointed table with a blue glass tower, positioned underneath a domed glass chandelier. The quilting of the wall design also pay tribute to the Equestrian sports, recalling riding coats and saddle pads through the new obscuro textile. The colours of navy blue and silver are heavily identifiable within Longines' own visual identity. Enter, and a world of watchmaking awaits.
