Miu Miu, her eponymous fashion House, has year-on-year been listed as one of the world's most desirable (according to the Lyst Index, while Prada closed 2023 as the hottest brand, its little sister Miu Miu has managed to snatch the top spot in the first quarter of 2024).
Miu Miu's footwear collaborations with New Balance have proven equally triumphant, with each release swiftly becoming a must-have item. And now, they've announced their next joint venture that we think will soon be come a cult collector's must-have: the Miu Miu x New Balance Mule Sneaker.

What is it?
A standout collaboration is the reimagined 530 sneaker, introduced as the 530SL, a "super light" version that captivated sneaker aficionados with its innovative design. Building on this triumph, Miu Miu and New Balance are now teasing their next creation: a mule version of the 530 sneaker.
The upcoming mule version of retains the distinctive brown 'Cinnamon' hue that has become iconic for the brand, complemented by a dynamic wear-away white.
These colour choices are paired with an exclusive blend of leather and cotton laces, while the transformation into a mule is achieved by removing the rear section of the 530. The footbed has been meticulously adjusted to suit the slip-on style, ensuring comfort without sacrificing aesthetic appeal.
When will they be released?
At present, both Miu Miu and New Balance are keeping the official release details for this mule version of the 530 sneaker under wraps. However, fashion devotees say the official launch is projected for some time in the next year (likely end of 2024 or early 2025).
What is the price?
Given the previous pricing trends of Miu Miu and New Balance collaborations, it's expected that the new mule design will carry a price tag over $1,000 USD (approximately $1,500 AUD).
