What’s on the ‘RUSSH’ editors’ shopping list in June

There's never a shortage of things to buy. While we are in a difficult financial climate right now – restocks, recommendations and wish list items can take up some serious real estate on our notes app. So, what are the RUSSH Editors spending their money on this month? We are here to take you through what we have on our shopping lists. And while some items may stay on the list, others will make it to checkout. Spend responsibly, friends.

I saw the Phoebe Flats from Nelson Made in one of Cass’s other round-ups and desperately want them too. They sold out and had to be restocked on The Undone, fingers crossed they’re still there when payday rolls around. If this fails, I do love the Mansur Gavriel ones.

Otherwise, I’m on the hunt for some new basics. I’ve been shamelessly wearing the same black long sleeve top since high school - if I can’t get 10-15 years of wear out of an item I don’t want to know about it. But alas, I think it’s finally dead and I need a new one. I love the Friends With Frank Longsleeve Harlow Top. I’m adding a belt to my wishlist too - this Assembly Label one. Then, I have some Euro Summer pieces I need to grab, a plain pair of delicate hoops that won’t irritate my ears from Alana Maria, a pair of breezy denim shorts, a basic black one-piece from Faithfull. And on the maybe list, this point-and-shoot camera that I’ve been eyeing off.

I’m a minimalist at heart, but despite already owning a beloved pair of Mary Jane shoes, I can’t help but mull over purchasing these beautiful Phoebe Flats from Nelson Made. I’m also in the market for a matching tracksuit to keep me warm on my WFH days – and Lorna Jane’s Post Practice Sweatshirt and Post Practice Wide Leg Pant are the current frontrunners (I love a wide-leg sweatpant). And, as is usual, I have plenty of books on my wish list this month, like Honor Levy’s debut My First Book, and some classics like One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez (which was just re-adapted by Netflix and on my to-watch list).

Butter by Asako Yuzuki has been on my ‘to read’ list for a while now, I’ll be buying that along with Plum Sykes new book Wives Like Us which will be the perfect binge read for rainy weekends. I want to get this Flensted Life & Thread Mobile from Stem to hang in our kitchen and honestly, if I ever win Lotto I will buy Laila Gohar’s entire collection but as a start, I’d love to get this Lemon Squeezer Fish, a bit silly but I also adore the Baguette Bag (one day). This shirt from Binny popped up on my Instagram feed and went straight to the list and I’d love to update my coat collection with a blazer style, this one by Friends with Frank is my current top contender.

This month I have a long list of things in my shopping cart. Or should I say carts?
And while I am quick to add to cart, I know myself well enough that the follow through isn’t a regular, especially lately in the current climate.

I digress. The first thing on my list this month has to be these sambas. I like the sand colourway and know they’ll look good with jeans. Speaking of denim, these baggy dad Levi’s have been on my mind.

A couple of items I use everyday are running low. Firstly, my Glow Recipe Plum Plump Hyaluronic cream and Kosas brow gel are non negotiables. I also am on the lookout for a great hair brush and this Mason Pearson one seems to be a great option to treasure for a lifetime.

Homewares and interiors have been on my mind for what feels like weeks, and I really do need this dining table from Sarah Ellison. I imagine all of the amazing dinner parties it would hold.

Lastly, with upcoming travel in August, I need to find the right set up with luggage. The JULY range looks fabulous, so I will be scrolling their site until further notice.

This month, the pieces that I am dreaming of are a little more curated than my usual chaotic assembly of 50 open tabs. I call that progress – wouldn't you? As we head into the second half of the year, I have been spending the past few months saving for some bigger ticket items that have been on my wishlist for some time. Coming off the high of my first Watches & Wonders, I have been itching to add a new watch to my collection, and for obvious reasons, this Cartier Panthère Rose Gold piece (complete with diamonds around the dial), has been occupying much of my brain space.

I'm also going to be making the most of the end of financial year sales to stock up on some of my all-time favourite beauty products – like the IT Cosmetics ByeBye Dark Spots Concealer, and this Kerasilk Repairing Trio which is just what my hair needs during the winter months.

And to round out the shopping list, I have recently become a home owner, which means that homewares have become a serious consideration. But before I can even be bothered to think about the essentials, my first priority is a rug (every great space needs one). I have always dreamed of purchasing an Armadillo rug for my home one day, and the time has finally come. My pick of the very good bunch is the Faroe rug in Foal.

With all these sales on at the moment my eyes have been peeled, and my wishlist is full. I do think Depop at the moment have the best finds, such as suede coats, vintage boots and even some 2nd hand Chanel flats I am eying off, I also think for your sake and the environment, it’s nice to check if you can purchase what you want second-hand …But currently these are the pieces I would love- this Loewe silk-blend yellow top I melted when I saw this as Loewe and yellow are my two favourite things. I did purchase this Mode Mischief Vivienne blouse, through depop though- the brand itself though has some of the coolest 70’s vibe. I am also quite obsessed at achieving a glowy makeup look, since watching Bridgerton season 3- Francesca’s makeup was so beautiful I was captivated. I really want to create it, and I heard either the Pat McGrath compact highlighter or the Chanel baume stick are the go to products for it. And until I find the Loewe Puzzle cropped fold bag, it remains on my shopping list…

It’s officially coat season and I’m on the hunt for a staple black one. Viktoria & Woods is leading the pack for me with three really great options - the Americano, the Leonardo and my personal favourite, the Maximillian. There’s also a tiny part of my brain that can’t let go of the idea that I need this Camilla and Marc creation in my life. Just imagine walking into a room wearing it.

I’m all about wearing colour this year and winter is the perfect time to bring it out. I always get a slew of compliments as most people revert to wearing black when the weather turns miserable. This Camilla and Marc blazer is absolute perfection with the buckle detail on the side. Shona Joy also has me in a chokehold with this burnt orange one that happens to be on sale.

Last but not least, footwear and I’ve had biker boots on my list for a while now. In an ideal world these Miu Miu babies would be coming home with me (the brown are great too), but realistically these COS ones will likely be the winner. I’m also very tempted by this Paris Texas pair - they feel like a cross between a biker boot, a cowboy boot and a riding boot and honestly that’s perfect for someone as indecisive as me.

My wallet has been buckling under the pressure of all these winter sales. If it’s time to rug up, there’s no end in sight for all the ways I want to layer and rehabilitate my wardrobe. I love structure and all iterations of the colour grey, so this twisty Beaufille number has been weighing heavily on my mind. For comfort, Venroy tracksuit pants in cream. I also cannot get over the slouch to Yume Yume these black boots, and they’re almost slashed in half in price. I need a new skin tint with SPF+ in my winter shade and I already use the Ultra Violette sunscreen liberally every day. I’m a hair away from clicking yes to this With Jean bustier for no reasons except that I want it. For practicality and to control my ungovernable hair, this Marimekko balaclava. If all else fails, I know an Evo detangling brush has got me covered.

Having returned from overseas, I can tell you, I am feeling the cold. I have been lusting over some serious knitwear, whilst my instinct is telling me to go for this pre-distressed Acne knit, my serious side says that this turtleneck by The Row, would be a much warmer and more sensible investment. My dreams are still haunted by the beauty of the Simone Rocha and Gaultier collection which may be a little unattainable for me right now, so I’m dreaming of owning these Rocha shoes, instead which have a heart shaped toe and a substantial heel. I’m forever fantasising about growing my CC Stedding archive and would love their double band pearl ring to join my collection. I’ll be topping up my winter hydration with some Aesop Eleos Hand Balm and the Emma Lewisham Supernatural Sleeping Mask. I will be sleeping this winter, predominantly with a hot water bottle, which would love this Burberry case, I’m sure. Lastly, I’ve recently purchased Miranda July’s latest book, All Fours, and insist you do the same immediately. It is very important.

This month’s wish list is a mix of delusional homewares, bits for a summer vacay and beauty products I do not need, but desperately want. I am looking for a new couch… The hunt continues but I’m eyeballing the MCM House Elio design. It’s in pieces for a custom shape, and I love the bone colourway. I adore this candlestick from Louise Roe, and these painfully perfect silver dessert coupes from Gohar World. Switching gears to fashion, I tried on the Deji Studios Bow dress over the weekend and have decided it’s a must have. Anything that can roll from bed to the breakfast buffet with the simple addition of sandals and sunglasses is a yes from me. I’ve got plenty of candles but I recently burned through this rose mint scent from Carriere Freres and I really, really miss it. I’m also loving the new YSL Loveshine lipstick right now and wouldn’t mind adding the shade Spicy Affair to my kit.
