For Malika El Maslouhi, a life well lived is not one directed by circumstance, but one guided by tuning into her innermost intuitions. And the Moroccan-Italian model is plugging into her desires this year like a radio signal.
The Capricorn’s inner mountain goat might be missing places where nature runs a little wilder, but for now, she’s content spending her days in the bustling French capital, biding her free time between CHANEL runways and Louis Vuitton campaigns by meditating on the small joys of life – snacking on some sharp cheese, glistening under a stream of honey; headphones on, 30,000 feet in the ether, hitting play once again on another ambient jazz song from André 3000’s New Blue Sun.
And where an espresso macchiato might not do the trick, Maslouhi is restored by a confluence of the basics – good food and a good night’s rest – and of course, by a spontaneous phone call to her Mum.
