Fashion has always been important to Troye Sivan. No matter what career the Rush singer is focusing on – his time as a YouTuber, the many acting roles he's taken on over the years from Boy Erased to The Idol, launching perfume line Tsu Lange Yor, or his salient passion, music – the Australian artist has always had an eye for good taste and great style.
Through the years, this has led to a portfolio of standout fashion moments. My mind immediately skips to the skimpy black Altu dress Sivan wore to the 2021 Met Gala, which led to this iconic shot encouraged by Rihanna and snapped by Tom Daley. Styled by Mel Ottenberg, the dress, from Joseph Altuzarra's genderfluid collection was paired with Rick Owens Kiss boots, a Cartier necklace, a leather arm cuff, Luar's Ana bag, and a jockstrap. Later, during the press tour for HBO's poorly reviewed series The Idol, in which Sivan and his co-star Rachel Sennott were the show's only saving graces, the actor ramped up his red carpet looks with the help of stylist Marc Forne. He drew a shoulder-baring look from Valentino for the show's Cannes premiere, and Alexander McQueen for the premiere after party. At the 2023 amfAR Gala in France, Sivan wore a silvery gossamer Ferragamo top and black trousers, while at this year's Vanity Fair Oscars after party he arrived in an all-leather Diesel look. While, the actor was everywhere during the spring 2024 runways, appearing at Loewe, Prada, Rabanne, and Gucci. He's even had a taste for the runway himself, walking for Miu Miu and Savage x Fenty, and starring in campaigns for Calvin Klein and YSL Beauty.
Most recently, Sivan has curated heady style moments for the music videos to support his latest album, Something to Give Each Other. In the visuals for Got Me Started, Sivan is sprinting in Gucci disco ball jean pants and a button up, while in One of Your Girls, with the help of stylist Dara Allen, Sivan makes his first appearance in drag wearing brands like Versace, Coucou Intimates, Fancì Club, and Isa Boulder.
