Sydney Sweeney is a Miu Miu muse, a compelling actress, and a huge fan of vintage cars. This much we know to be true. But girls, gays and theys, let us not forget the fact that the 25-year-old actress is a certified, verified, indisputable blonde bombshell. So naturally, this makes her the first choice for a remake of the campy 1968 sci-fi spectacular Barbarella.
Plot

Did we know that Barbarella was being revamped? You can bet we did not. The news came from Sweeney herself, who shared a post on Instagram of a film poster of Jane Fonda as the original cinematic space-travelling heroine, with the caption reading, "Time to save the universe".
Although few details around the film have surfaced, it will likely take its plot cues from the source material. For the uninitiated, Barbarella was adapted from the smutty French comic book series of the same name, authored by Jean-Claude Forest. Its title character is stranded on the planet Lythion where she must contend with space monsters and, in the film, the evil scientist Durand Durand (yes, that's where the band Duran Duran got its name).
Cast
As mentioned, the Barbarella baton is being passed to Sweeney, after previously being held by Fonda in the 60s version. Although, few other casting details are currently known.
