Our 'Wonder' cover star Yilan Hua would be a traveller if not a model. When she’s alone, her mind wanders to the infinite realms of space, yet there’s a hint of an archaic soul in her being – her favourite film is Roman Holiday. A libra to her core, she believes in miracles, sees life as magical and last felt truly amazed only yesterday. Spirituality? An existence you believe in.
Three words to describe me are ... Confident, energetic and headstrong.
On location for our 'Wonder' cover story, humility exuded from her every fibre – squeezing into the back of Parisian taxis in a diaphanous Jordan Dalah dress like it’s normal – she simply asks, “where next?” An infectious personality and laugh to match her vibrant aura and an energy filled with possibility, Hua is not afraid to get personal. Breaking into tears while deep in character for a moment swathed in Saint Laurent, she is multitudes.

The quality I admire most in others is … Being true.
Outside of modelling, she’s just like the rest of us. Home to Hua is a space to regenerate, a “mobile charging station” where she goes from low battery mode into recovery. She likes to play online games and watch classic cinema, and a nice meal will go a long way. But, she has an inept, perceptive attitude and outlook on life that is unique to her being.

Fendi, Chanel, Dior, Mugler… they’ve all come calling. Hua is writing her own story, and the pages keep on turning.
