Art in August: Your guide to the Australian exhibitions taking place this month

australian art august

Managed to chew your way through all of our July art recommendations? Well, clear up your schedule because the incoming exhibitions will keep you busy and content. Rae Begley is exhibiting photographs at Woollahra Gallery Redleaf, with works developed during an artist residency with La Wayaka Current in the Indigenous community of Coyo immersed in the Atacama Desert. Ngununggula has unveiled a joint exhibition from quintessential Australian artists Ken Done and Rosie Deacon entitled Spring Collection, our very own Anna Harrison is showing at Jerico Contemporary, China Heights Gallery is carving out space for Otis Hope Carey and can we get a little commotion for Telstra NATSIAA 2022?

As for the rest? You're going to have to continue to find out. Below, find a non-exhaustive guide to Australian art in August 2022.
