Balenciaga is in its cuddly era for its F22 campaign

Balenciaga Fall 22 campaign

Demna is cuddling up to the 90s for Balenciaga's Fall 22 campaign! For Fall 22, Balenciaga's just-released campaign lensed by Nadia Lee Cohen sees Kit Butler, Zuo Chen, Abdou Diop, Bella Hadid, Inti Wang, Lina Zhang and singer Aya Nakamura get cozy together for a nostalgic series of images wearing the F22 collection. After a monumental show at Paris Fashion Week in February that touched on Demna's experience of being a teen refugee of war, with a 360 degree set of models struggling against a simulated blizzard, the new campaign takes a softer, warmer approach to showcasing the collection.

In a series of videos released on Balenciaga's Instagram, Hadid and Diop embrace each other, wearing an all black ensemble, while Inti Wang poses in a grey denim look. The new collection features the newly launched Lindsey – which we can predict will be just about as viral as the Le Cagole – Crush and Crocs Bag, alongside new iterations of the XX, Hourglass, Everyday Tote and Le Cagole, one of which is shown in the popular denim iteration on Hadid. Luxurious robe coats fit for leisure feature alongside slashed crop tops, 90s slip dresses, and low rise pants that reveal Balenciaga branded underwear, secured with logo belts.

Footwear makes a triumphant return, donning the Excavator Boot, the Kensington Mule, the thigh-high Falkon Boot and the classic Knife Pump all feature. For jewellery, silver back to back 'BB' logos are donned in the form of earrings, while vintage-looking keys hang from neck chains, and thick gunmetal chokers.
