Hermès has launched its first lip oil, aptly named Hermèsistible, in what is certain to become a go-to for intense lip hydration. The latest product addition to the brand, Hermèsistible comes in six vibrant hues, adding a natural finish to the lips.
What is the Hermèsistible lip oil?
The shades of the Hermèsistible lip oil are all names derived from their top line colouring and include Beige Sapotille, Corail Bigarade, Rouge Amarelle, Rose Kola, Pourpre Camarine and Rose Pitayal. The formula contains a high concentration of sandalwood and ‘liquid gold’ to counterbalance fruiter notes that may be present. Infused with 97 per cent natural ingredients, this helps protect and nourish lips while maintaining ample hydration throughout the day.
Christine Nagel, director of creation and olfactory heritage for Hermès Parfums, said the creation of the product stems from memories and emotions, without leaning too far into retrospect.
“Hermèsistible is the known unknown, an enchanting and reassuring surprise,” explained Nagel in a statement. “Through these color scents, I have sought to share memories and emotions, without regressing to the past. I have sought to combine intuitively the notion of extreme quality with pleasure, to express both joy and comfort.”
How long has hermes carried a beauty range?
Hermès’ first foray into beauty – aside from fine fragrance – came in early 2020 through the introduction of Rouge Hermès, a range lipsticks consisting of 24 shades and a selection of accompanying objects, including a lip balm and pencil. With attention to detail paramount to the House, the packaging of the beauty range is itself a piece to behold, with colour-blocked casing sold in small orange boxes the signature of the House. Hermès now carries an all-encompassing beauty range consisting of products for face, cheeks and hands, alongside lips.
The Hermèsistible range is now available to shop from Hermès.
