We've got to hand it to Mary-Kate and Ashley, the design duo know their style. It seems the The Row is really hitting its stride with its monthly Spotify playlist; and once again, we've been blessed with a whole new set of songs to get us by this summer.
In true Olsen style, they've compiled a thirty track mix of fresh post modern beats. A mix of cool urban hits that pays direct homage the utopian hustle of life on the streets of fashion's coolest city. The mix starts off with a disco track Native New Yorker by Odyssey. A direct link to The Row's home base, and the twins home New York City. What follows is a symphony of culturally diverse tracks, including French Jazz, a psych rock beat from Nigerian band Ofege as well as classic soul from Irma Thomas who also happens to adorn the cover art of the playlist.

It wouldn't be a Row playlist without some breezy 90's electronica, with Air and Massive Attack also being featured. The duo's foray into music has been a hit since April 2020, when they released their first playlist. Many other fashion houses have since been following suit, finding more ways to connect with their following. It seems music has proven the best modus operandi in doing so. The essence of the catwalk is imbued throughout and we feel as if we've got a front row seat.
The Row recently took to Instagram to promote their latest instalment of hits, pointing out a number of their favourite songs. Emitt Rhodes, China Crisis and Cornelius all making the cut. It seems somehow the twins get cooler and more elusive the more they let us into their world. Consider this your front row ticket to their sonic show. Commence your new year with pure style below.
