Another year has gone by and we've found ourselves again at one of American fashion's biggest nights of the year – the 2021 CFDA Awards. This year's awards were always going to one to remember. Not only have several potential fashion moments been overshadowed by the lingering chaos that has been the pandemic; but it was also set to be a major milestone celebration for some of the industry's most prominent leaders.
Arguably one of the most talked about moments of the night was the news that Zendaya would become the youngest-ever recipient of the coveted CFDA Icon Award at just 25 years old. And as it turned out, the 2021 CFDA Awards proved a major win for the fashion industry's most notable up and comers, with Christian Dior ambassador and The Queen's Gambit star Anya Taylor-Joy becoming the first ever person to receive the ceremony’s Face of the Year prize.
As fashion's night of nights, there was no doubt that the red carpet and the event's most prestigious guests were going to deliver.
