As We Are Now
Hailing from Norway, As We Are Now's MO to clothing is that it must be sustainable and comfort-driven before all else. Helmed by entrepreneur Anette Miwa Dimmen, each piece is designed to sit against your body like a second-skin, ready to carry you through sunrise to sunset.
Vanessa Sposi
If you're spending time in and around water, we're almost certain that you're invested in the state of our oceans. What better way to put principles into practice than by slipping into a Vanessa Sposi swimsuit. Using fabrics like OEKOTEX and ECONYL - the latter of which is recycled yarn from plastic waste removed from the oceans - concern for our waterways is at the centre of Vanessa Sposi. Not only that, but the lining of each silhouette is imbued with Aloe Vera and Vitamin E to sooth and nourish sun-kissed skin.
Hortus Studio
Hortus Studio is a stalwart observer of the slow life. This ethos trickles down into each garment, made with intention and with slow days filled with ease in mind. Think linen, elastic-waist trousers, Kaftans and wrap around shirt-dresses.
Marija Kulusic
Based in Zagreb, Croatia, Marija Kulusic traverses the binary of traditional and modern in her collections; a theme that seems fitting when we consider the city from which she is based. This manifests in sophisticated, hand-finished details, traditional fabric techniques and silhouettes that fuse shapes of yore - balloon sleeves - with the element of surprise - a slit rising up to the cheeks.
Lâcher Prise
Deriving from the French expression "liberation achieved by detaching from the desire to control", Lâcher Prise is the physical interpretation of a feeling, a rejection of arcane rules and restraint. Heralding from France, Marine Delmau uprooted herself to NYC in 2011 to study fashion marketing at Parsons School of Design. The result? Genderless designs grounded in the philosophy of freedom and excellence.
The Sept
Taking cues from the natural world, The Sept orbits around clean, minimal pieces, drenching them in zippy, earthy colour tones. Designed in Germany and ethically made in Portugal, The Sept believes the garments we wear should compliment not impose themselves upon us. Inspired by "natural light, architecture, opinions, nature, 90s and natural beauties", The Sept bring shirt-dresses to life, just in time for summer.
