While we can agree that taste is subjective, here at RUSSH we are unanimous in that Alex Eagle has the good kind. And in droves of it too. When in need of guidance, sartorial or interior-wise, we often find ourselves turning to Alex's discerning eye; be it via Instagram or through the carefully selected wares carried by her eponymous store. Now, after reading her foreword in Tamsin Johnson's first book Spaces for Living - the first female Australian interior designer to be published by Rizzoli - it's clear that Eagle's status as an aesthete extends beyond the realm of homewares and fashion.
Below, Alex Eagle shares her forever favourite interior's books and why she always finds herself coming back to the works of Vasari.

The book that changed my life is …
Don’t Tell Alfred by Nancy Mitford. This isn’t a deep one it’s more just the first grown up and naughty book I read (age 10) and I found it so thrilling it gave me a life-long love of books to read for no reason other than for fun.
I also still find myself referring to The Lives of the Artists by Vasari all these years after studying history of art.
The best book I ever received is ...
The book I would give as a gift is …
Hockney Posters, Pavilion, 1987. Whenever I find a copy I buy it to save as a gift to someone I adore.
