Afterpay Australian Fashion Week is back for day two, and there are more than a few highlights for today.
We had an early morning start on this frosty Tuesday morning at Commas on Tamarama Beach. It was a showcase that truly shared the brand's connection to the Australian landscape and our unique way of life.
Next up we headed back to Carriageworks at 9am for a vibrant show courtesy of Ginger & Smart. Designer duo Alexandra and Genevieve have never shied away from colour and print, and it's why they continue to be an industry and crowd favourite year after year.
Oroton invited us into its grounded and earthy world during the Resort '22 show. A collection of tonal delights, this was resort in the true sense of the word - pieces you want to take with you on holiday.
7:30am: Commas
There's a certain magic only found during early mornings spent beach-side. Commas managed to capture a small slice of this idyllic life. The collection was strong, wearable and everything we wanted to see from this favourite designer.

9:00am: Ginger & Smart
True to form, Ginger & Smart was a riot of colour. Prints, bold green and pinks where the name of the game in this perfectly pretty collection. The beauty looks was as lovely as the fashion, with hair direction by Ali Holmes for KMS.

11:00am: Oroton
Oroton showed us a new side with its tailored suiting along side beach-ready dresses and coordinated sets. But our pick have to be the low-key tan sandals shown on more than a few of the models. Guaranteed you'll see our whole team in these when the warm weather hits.

The Albus Lumen showcase was an intimate showing for just a handful of people. It was a relaxing and candlelit affair, shown via a short film.

3pm: Maggie Marilyn
New Zealand designer, Maggie Marilyn invited everyone to take a seat at the table. Her Resort collection was presented via a film that told the story of sharing and collaboration, using the idea of a dinner table to show connection and highlight the bond between Australian and New Zealand.

7:30pm: Christian Kimber
8:30pm: Michael Lo Sordo
An evening of pure magic, Michael Lo Sordo hosted an intimate dinner at Bambini Trust to showcase his latest work. When Lo Sordo addressed the table, he explained that since we can't go to Paris in person, he wanted to bring a little slice of Paris to us.
Dining on a French-inspired menu of caviar and steak frites, it was certainly a night to remember.
