What's good this month? We've got a list of all the new favourites and old heroes to love in beauty in March 2021.
Antipodes Halo Skin-Brightening Facial Mud Mask
Mud masks are an excellent way of delivering nutrients to your skin without stripping your skin of oil - think of them as a clay mask's less intense sister. This particular formulation from New Zealand brand Antipodes uses geothermal mud from the country's mineral-rich deposits. I absolutely love the way it is brightens and without leaving you with that tight, overly clean feeling.
YSL Beauty Touche Éclat Foundation
YSL Beauty has reformulated and upgraded its cult foundation - Touche Éclat. It's the same glowy and natural finish but with some new ingredients to increase the staying power and to help support the hydration of the skin. Some of the new additives include marigold bloom and mallow extracts from the YSL Beauty Ourika Community Gardens. I love it because it's luminous without being oily.
Dior Forever Cushion Powder
This feather-light powder is designed to help set makeup without the powdery finish. I can attest to the fact it does exactly as it promises - certainly one of the few powders out there that actually has the smoothing and non-cakey finish that all powders seem to promise. The other feature that sets this one apart is the case, a beige, cushiony cover with a couture feel.
Summer Fridays Cloud Dew Gel Cream
If you have oily skin like me, you'll adore this cloud-like gel cream. It's like a big drink of water for your skin and perfect for warm, summer weather. I love the way it wears under sunscreen and foundation. It leaves your skin hydrated but never slick or shiny.
By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra-Concealers
What makes these By Terry concealers unique is that 87 percent of the formulation is skincare-based. It helps to blur and smooth imperfections, while nourishing your skin. They're buildable and also a totally vegan formula. These concealers arrive on counter at MECCA on March 31. So look out for them then.
Naked Sundays Hydrating Glow Mist with SPF 50+
This product is the answer to so many problems. Introducing this SPF face mist. If you've ever wondered how you're supposed to reapply sunscreen every two hours when you're wearing a full face of makeup, here's how. Keep this in your handbag and spritz whenever you're in need. I was concerned it might have an oily finish, but I was pleasantly surprised to find it dries matte. I am officially deeming this a must-have.
Flavedo & Albedo Dew Tint
If you're aren't familiar with brand Flavedo & Albedo, it's time to get acquainted. This plastic-free brand packages all it's products in gorgeous, little tin cases. A much more eco-friendly choice. I love just about every product I've tried, but I particularly love the beautiful cream blushes. They offer a seamless flush of colour that applies well over bare skin and foundation.
First Aid Bump Eraser Body Scrub
I adore this body scrub. Why? It's not just any old grainy body scrub, this one included 10 percent AHAs, so it helps to lift and loosen dead skin and dirty before the grains exfoliate it away. You leave the shower feeling smooth and fresh. I find it also helps to reduce the appearances of cellulite.
Huda Beauty #BombBrows
This brow pencil is fine as fine can be. The twist up design means you never have to sharpen it and you'll always be able to draw on super-fine, hair-like strokes. The product is a little stiffer than most other pencils, which prevents you from over applying and ending up with chunky, block brows. I find it very user-friendly and great to apply when you're in a rush and can't afford mistakes.
Synergie Skin TriDration B Express Medi-Mask
This mask is all about hydration - and it works in just five minutes. It nourishes skin on three levels with "humectants (water magnets), water balancers and dermally-active hyaluronic acid stimulators" according to the product description. However it works, it does in fact work. It's a great one to use before a long day or before applying heavy makeup for a well prepped and primed base.
AlphaH Micro Super Scrub for face and body
Another fabulous body scrub just in time for winter. What I love about this one is that its gentle enough to use on your face too - so it's great for travelling when you can't bring your full set of products with you. It's formulated with 12 percent glycolic acid to help lift, exfoliate and improve skin texture.
Paula's Choice Clinical Ceramide-Enriched Firming Moisturiser
One thing that active ingredients are notorious for is disturbing your skin's barrier function. Especially if you're someone with sensitive skin. If you're one of these people, then this Paula's Choice moisturiser is for you. It's a ceramide-based formula, one which is designed to nourish and preserve your skin's barrier as key actives are delivered. It's like having your cake and eating it too.
