One of the most hotly anticipated fashion weeks of the year, covetable Danish brand, GANNI, has taken Copenhagen Fashion Week to new heights, with their GANNI LOVE FOREVER collection.
Presenting its Fall Winter 21 offering through a four-day digital live stream musical experience, the brand has taken an upbeat, inclusive approach to the digital format of fashion week this season. GANNI presented the LOVE FOREVER collection using the medium of music, while championing rising musical talent.
“In these chaotic times, we wanted to create something beaming with energy, to spread some positivity and optimism right now. Our FW21 collection is all about love. Our love for life, for music and all the things we took for granted. Music is my biggest source of inspiration. I miss the dance floor and the energy that music gives me," shared GANNI creative director, Ditte Reffstrup.
As for the pieces that culminate the collection, the offering is rental-only, and serves as the latest iteration of the brand's well known fashion pop-up concept, GANNI KIOSK.
The collection consists of 26 styles, a selection of unique, custom made past-season GANNI pieces that have been embroidered, spray painted, and embellished by hand. Standout styles include a rhinestone encrusted cone bra leather jacket, a two-tone sequin denim jacket, hand painted flame boots and more.
“This season, we wanted to create a ‘stage collection’ to mark the energy of the live performance and our love for music. I thought back to watching MTV and concerts when I was a teen. Think iconic looks from David Bowie, Madonna’s Blond Ambition tour or a sprinkle of Elton John sequins. We were inspired by the transformative power of fashion and how when you walk out on stage, you can be anyone."
Representing this message, the GANNI LOVE FOREVER show featured three upcoming musicians taking centre stage – Danish singer songwriter, Coco. O, LA-based singer songwriter, Deb Never and New York based singer songwriter Zsela Thompson, better known as ZSELA. You can re-watch their mesmerising performances below.
