Are you ready for the year of the Ox? Fendi is, with its new capsule collection in celebration of Chinese New Year on February 12, where the Ox - symbolising strength, determination and ambition - will be representing the year ahead in the Chinese calendar.

Full of symbolism and traditional colour schemes, the capsule will focus on red and pink tones, representing good fortune and joy, paired with floral scapes of Chrysanthemum - representing longevity - and Peonies, which nods to prosperity, beauty and honour. Combined with Fendi's signature FF logo details and embossing, the Maison combines traditional symbolism with Fendi's modern shapes for a joyful, festive capsule.

The capsule is available in an offering across all genders, with a womens collection that sees the Maison’s signature accessories shapes infused with feminine details in all their variants. Among these, sits the Peekaboo family which has been crafted in red leather alongside pink linings for a charming Peekaboo effect: a bright pink colour-contrasting pocket for the ISeeU and a pink canvas with a multicolour FF logo embroidery for the Iconic Mini. The same embroidery peppers the iconic Baguette in its Regular, Mini and Nano sizes, the latter also available in a multicolour floral print in satin, and an adjustable Strap You.

For the Pico Baguette, an iteration of the classic takes form with red micro beaded embroidery and pink and gold fringes with enamelled floral details. The Baguette is also available in a China-exclusive variant in multicolour floral printed satin with red and gold fringes and ox horn and flower details on the buckle.

Ready-to-wear is offered in printed twill, jersey and knitwear, carrying threads of the same reds, pinks and prints as the accessories. To round the capsule out with a flourish, the signature Forever Fendi watch, will be updated to a special CNY edition. The watch has been embellished with a genuine pink mother-of-pearl dial with diamond hour-makers on a 29 mm stainless steel or 19 mm and 29 mm rose-gold stainless steel case, further enriched by a bezel set with 62 diamonds. The Fendi Chinese New Year Capsule Collection will be available in Greater China, on fendi.cn starting from January 7. The collection will also be in selected Fendi boutiques worldwide and online starting from January 14, whilst the Forever Fendi watches will be available in in Greater China and on fendi.cn starting from January 2021 and in the rest of the world from April 2021.
