Is this what dreams are made of?! If there's anything I'll simp for, it's a queer holiday romance, and one couldn't come soon enough.

Thankfully, prayers have been answered with the news of the upcoming holiday film 'Happiest Season' starring Kristen Stewart and Mackenzie Davis in a queer rom-com which details the trials and tribulations of meeting the family as a same-sex couple during the holiday season.

Directed by Clea DuVall, the film follows the relationship between Abby (played by Stewart) and Harper (played by Davis), a same-sex couple who will return home to Harper's parent's house for the holidays. Abby is planning to propose, until she finds out that Harper's conservative parents have no idea that she's out yet, let alone in a relationship with Abby. "I love when a holiday movie makes you long for an idea of home, but also examines how hilarious and hard reality at home can be sometimes." Stewart explained to People magazine on the film.

Stewart and Davis will star alongside Aubrey Plaza, Dan Levy, Burl Moseley, Mary Steenburgen, Victor Garber, Alison Brie, and co-writer Mary Holland. The romantic comedy is set to detail the nuances of family structures and navigating the status quo when you're part of the LGBTQI+ community in a conservative household through a meaningful yet comedic lens.

Stewart told People "I think I've wished to see a gay Christmas rom-com my whole life... I'm so happy and proud of Clea for bringing this into the world." same k-stew, same. While DuVall added "I’m a huge fan of Christmas movies, but I had never seen my story represented... Happiest Season felt like a great opportunity to tell a universal story from a new perspective."
