The first Monday (or Tuesday, in Australia's case) has come around once again, which means that in a few short hours, we will be frantically causing chaos in our office over the 2023 Met Gala. The theme? Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty. The expectation? Anyone who misses on this highly un-ambiguous theme should be banned for life unless they have an extremely good excuse. We will be watching like hawks, with coverage on the 2023 Met Gala red carpet right here, on Instagram, and even over on TikTok. You can't stop us from sharing our opinions – unhinged or astute – in droves!!

Last year, Billie Eilish, Jodie Turner Smith, and Riz Ahmed were notable theme-dominators. This year, we're hoping to see the Chanel ambassadors shine the brightest, since they should have a pretty good vantage point of the Chanel archives, as well as anyone who is really close to Kim Jones at Fendi. Hopefully he can help his pals out with some archival Karl. Lily Rose Depp will be one to watch as one of Karl's muses, as will the unconfirmed likes of Kristen McMenamy, Erin Wasson, Devon Aoki, Vanessa Paradis, and Claudia Schiffer.

As much as people wanted to believe that Ms. Kim Kardashian would be uninvited this year, last week she posted live from Karl Lagerfeld's old office in Paris, with Choupette in tow! So that rules out any rumours of being blacklisted after Marilyn's birthday dress controversy. The only, and most important question that is left to ask: Will Choupette be the guest of honour?
